This Semester In Journalism!

In Journalism I learned about leads and how they impact the entire story. I learned about the different types of leads and this helped me make my own leads.
I learned about ethics and interviewing and how they're a major part of a Journalism carrie. I learned how to turn a simple interview into a captivating story for readers.
When it comes to interviewing I learned about close ended and open ended questions and how both are necessary to make good interview and hold information that educates the reader.
I learned about the inverted pyramid, this organizes the information you have from most important to least important. Overall I learned several ways to make my journalism skills better.

Obama stands up for Gay Rights!

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/05/11/us/politics/obama-campaign-tries-to-capitalize-on-marriage-issue.html?_r=1&ref=todayspaper

This article stated several opinions from different people. My opinion of the matter for gay rights is strong I believe that everyone is equal and shouldn't be discriminated for loving the same sex. I think what President Obama did was something that gained him a lot of respect. He now how the gay right voters but also a lot less christian voters. Either way it was something that needed to be addressed. In this article a statement was made about how Obama wasn't focussing on what people wanted and cared about. The person who said this didn't stop to think about all the people who were being killed, bullied, or committing suicide because of there sexual orientation.
